Sewlikemymom – Pillowcase Dress Tutorial up to 8 year

Little Dresses For Africa

These links take you to the tutorial for the dresses and A  charity to sew for.

Obviously it is entirely up to you who you send your dresses to as there are many marvelous ones out there that are following the same mantra –

Every girl around the world deserves a dress

There are even some that give tutorials for boys shorts.

But one thing that I have found lacking is, a tutorial or indeed pattern for a woman’s size dress.. today I take on the challenge to make a dress that is of the pillowcase style (not many pillowcases come in the size of 5′ 7″ and 12 stone woman)

Later on I will with a little help from my children, scan into my lovely and ever suffering PC, the pattern, and fingers crossed take you through the sewing process. I may even make a little video to make life easier for our deaf readers.  Not all deaf people can read what we take for granted as literate people.

Wish me luck fellow pillow case makers…

Peace – Jane xx

Cushion of Dougie Fletcher

 Isn’t he just adorable!!!

can you imagine waking up next to him, every day and he will never age! maybe fade a wee bit…dougie_pbwweb

phwroar!!!!

The latest cushion off the Sew Eclectic manfucatuer line is this cheeky chappy outlined by some lovey coloured fabrics, one from fabric freedom and the other is a beautiful tan colour with black lace printed ontop and flowers printed through out.  Which actually put like that sounds hideous but hey… it isn’t so when I’ve found out how to upload from my tablet onto the wordpress function on there, you’ll get to see it in the flesh.

You too can have this young man in your bed for a full in price of £16.00 for a large cushion. Large is 40cm x 40cm approx. postage to the UK included within the price.

Cleethorpe Carnival 19th July

Every town should have a carnival, all floats should be judged… the winning float should go to a county carnival, where again they are judged, they then go onto a regional carnival south wales, north wales, south west England, etc… again judging… then into the Nationals….. and the winner is then the National Carnival winner, and that town host’s the National Carnival the following year…… good idea?

New Beginnings and good riddance to old negatives who stole and used….

“The only way is up! baby! for you and me now!!!”

Whilst I understand that as a crafter, it is well within our make up to re-create items and make them your own.  What isn’t quite good manners is taking a friends design and saying that it was your design.  This is what a crafter has done to me. Now I wouldn’t mind so much if they were doing them fantastically and was doing very well.  However, they are not, they are a mess and very not well made. Unfinished seams, ribbons are the type that you use on cakes or on hair bands and bows (they are the woman’s main craft).  That on it’s own was irritating enough for me to loosen the string that held our friendship together.  Then, I was rather taken advantage of and was assumed that I would have her two girls on Saturday night… and one on Friday!  Without asking….

The straw finally broke my back, we have parted company and I no longer call this person a  friend.

To this end. Please excuse me for being slightly guarded over my designs. It is a compliment for another to make my makes, however, rude to recreate to sell on.

Thank you for reading and understanding xx
